Understanding microcurrent
Microcurrent technology is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment used for facial rejuvenation and toning. It involves using low-level electrical currents, less than one-millionth of an amp (< 1mA), to stimulate the facial muscles and improve the appearance of the skin. The treatment is often called a "non-surgical facelift" or "facial toning" due to its ability to lift and tighten the facial muscles, resulting in a more youthful and toned appearance. The technology delivers gentle electrical currents to the facial muscles and tissues. These currents mimic the body's natural electrical signals, which help to re-educate and tone the muscles.
The electrical currents stimulate the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the energy source for cells. This increase in ATP production enhances cellular metabolism and promotes the production of two proteins responsible for skin elasticity and firmness, collagen and elastin.
