How a Cryotherapy Protocol Refreshed a Client's Skin in a Single Treatment

The client came to the clinic looking for firmer skin and a better-defined facial contour. Certified esthetician Yuliya Koval designed a personalized protocol based on her skin condition and goals, combining different technologies in a carefully planned sequence.

A single session was enough for this 57-year-old client's skin to look fresher, smoother, and visibly firmer. The facial contour and jawline appeared more defined, while puffiness looked reduced.

Step 1. Double Cleanse

What: Double cleansing of the skin.
Why: To remove makeup, excess sebum, sunscreen residue, and accumulated surface impurities.
Effect: Removed the surface film of the stratum corneum, leaving skin fully clean and prepped for enzyme exfoliation.

Step 2. Raspberry Enzyme Mask

What: Application of a raspberry enzyme mask.
Why: To gently exfoliate and improve texture without disrupting the skin barrier.
Effect: Fruit enzymes gently broke down bonds between dead cells in the stratum corneum, making them easier to remove. Skin surface became more even, smooth, and luminous, reflecting light more uniformly.

Step 3. Cryotherapy with Zemits ColdRestore

What: Zemits HyaTight X (a peptide conductive gel) was applied, followed by cryotherapy with Zemits ColdRestore — 7 minutes on each cheek and 7 minutes along the jawline.
Why: The conductive gel helps the applicator glide and delivers active ingredients that complement the treatment. Cryotherapy visually tones the skin, reduces the appearance of puffiness, and delivers an immediate effect of freshness and firmness.

Effect:

  • Controlled cooling from Zemits ColdRestore lowered surface temperature in the treated areas, giving an immediate fresh feeling. Skin looked more toned, facial contour more defined, and puffiness less visible.
  • Peptides helped improve the look of firmer, smoother skin.
  • Hyaluronic acid supported surface hydration, making skin look more hydrated with a plumper effect.
  • Vitamin E and botanical extracts helped calm the skin and support barrier comfort after exfoliation.

Step 4. At-Home Care: Retinol Peptide Serum + SPF

What: A retinol-peptide serum plus daily sunscreen was recommended for home care.
Why: To maintain treatment results and protect skin from daily UV exposure.
Effect: With continued use, retinol and peptides help improve texture and skin uniformity over time, supporting a smoother, firmer look. Daily sunscreen is essential to preserve results and protect against photoaging.

Cryotherapy was performed as the final step for a specific reason: cold delivers a visible, immediate response on the skin's surface — right after treatment, skin feels firmer and more toned, puffiness appears reduced, and the jawline looks more defined. That's why cryotherapy makes the perfect closing step of a facial protocol: it enhances the final result and leaves skin looking fresh, firm, and luminous.
